Lyrics

For many years I treated You unkind
I brought You tears, to Your heart I was blind
You suffered patiently, in wait for my return
Your compassion through Your love
A lesson to be learned

I thought that I was being true to You
It was a lie, I did not have a clue
But here You are again, where You’ve been all along
Holding out Your hand, You love me right or wrong

This time I’ll take Your hand, and never let it go
I’ll hold You in my heart. I hold You in my soul
This time I’ll show to You as You have shown to me
A love without restraint for all the world to see
This time it’s You and me

For many years, I thought I was alone
Though You were here, my heart was like a stone
Still You protected me from deserts burning sand,
You saved this wandering soul and led me to Your plan

The love You gave is what I have to give
And it is Yours as long as I shall live
Love is the only treasure I possess on earth,
That I can bring to You, when death brings me rebirth

This time I’ll take Your hand, and never let it go
I’ll hold You in my heart. I hold You in my soul
This time I’ll show to You as You have shown to me
A love without restraint for all the world to see
This time it’s You and me
This times eternity
This time it’s You and me
