The Transfiguration of the Lord

The view over Armageddon Valley as seen from the Mount of Transfiguration

The Transfiguration took place on a “high mountain in Galilee.” Jesus became radiant in glory as he fulfilled the law of the prophets, and showed himself to be the true Messiah to Peter, James and John. Atop Mount Tabor are a Catholic Church and a Greek Orthodox Church which are separated by a wall. The prominent Catholic Church of the Transfiguration stands among the ruins of a Benedictine Monastery. Mount Tabor, sits above the plain of Jezreel, which is believed to be where the battle of Armageddon will be fought. The battle of good vs evil. Many vast armies have traveled across this plain, including those of Alexander the Great and Napoleon.

Lyrics

Jesus took with Him Peter James and John
And led them up a high mountain
Where He was transformed
And his face shone like the sun
His garments became white as light
And there appeared Moses and Elijah
Who appeared in glory speaking with Jesus of His Exodus
Which he would accomplish in Jerusalem

A bright cloud overshadowed them
They heard a voice from proclaim
This is my beloved Son with whom I am well pleased
Listen to Him
Listen to Him
Listen to Him
Listen

And when the disciples heard this
They fell on their knees And were filled with awe
Jesus came and touched them, saying
Rise and have no fear
And when they lifted up their eyes
They saw no one but Jesus
Jesus commanded tell no one of this vision
Until the son of man is raised from the dead

High on this Holy Mountain
His true identity was revealed
It was revealed in His Transfiguration
Standing between Moses and the Prophet Elijah
Jesus became the bridge
That joins the Law of Moses
To the prophets and the psalms

Jesus revealed as the foretold Messiah
By His death and resurrection
Which He inferred to His apostles that day
He created a new covenant with all creation, with all He created
Listen to Him
Listen to Him
Rise and Have no fear
Listen to Him
