The Via Dolorosa (The Way of Sorrows) is a pilgrims walk, that commemorates the Fourteen Stations of the Cross, where Jesus, suffering, wound His way through the Old City to Calvary Hill, the Place of the Skull. The walk culminates in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre where the last five stations are located.

Lyrics
You were tried illegally
Condemned unjustly
Given your cross
The weight of our sins to carry
That punishing burden
Brought you to your knees
You encounter your Mother Mary
No she would not abandon you
She loves you and believes in you
No matter what was said or done to you
We adore you O Christ
And we praise you
By your Holy Cross
You have redeemed the world
Simon of Cyrene
Helped you lift the load
Your blood and sweat flowed freely down
Mixing with the dust upon the road
Veronica appears
Wipes your face so tenderly
The cloth is cool upon your skin
Proceed on the way you fall down again
We adore you O Christ
And we praise you
By your Holy Cross
You have redeemed the world
The women of Jerusalem
Grieve as you pass by
You stop to console them
Though suffering You don’t abandon your friends
You fall down a third time
Now you are on Calvary
They strip you of your garment
But they cannot strip your dignity
We adore you O Christ
And we praise you
By your Holy Cross
You have redeemed the world
You are nailed to the wood
Suffering for our good
You are killed upon that dirty cross
Our sins expiated in your life lost
You were taken down
Amid the dark and gloom
Your corpse is placed on Marys lap
Thereafter reverently laid inside a tomb
We adore you O Christ
And we praise you
By your Holy Cross
You have redeemed the world
We adore you O Christ
And we praise you
By your Holy Cross
You have redeemed the world
